26th September...Languages Day!

Last Tueday 26th September 2017 we celebrated "Languages Day" in our school.

In Literacy children in year 6 worked this topic a lot. Every  class searched for information about a language. 6 A students found information about French, 6 B about Portuguese and 6 C about Romanian. We were divided into little groups of five children and we had to look for information about:

1. The different countries where every language was spoken
2. Typical food in these places
3. Feasts and festivals celebrated there
4. Typical costumes worn     and
5. Key words and expressions used.

We wrote the information both in English and Spanish because this is a bilingual school. We also include photos and pictures. Children in Infant Education painted every country flag.
Next, we put all the materiales together and we fixed them. Literacy teachers hung them on a school wall in the playground. And finally, we were taken some photos near our posters.
Would you like to see some? Here you are...
